PRESIDENT'S CORNER by Bud Hughes, K4CWG
During the past month we lost Jim Creevay W4UYZ and Carl Christian KF4JI to that ever-growing Silent Key Club. Both Jim and Carl have contributed so much to our club. We extend our condolences to the families and fellow friends of these gentlemen.
Ed Reinert N4TLS a long time member of TARC is confined to a nursing home here in Titusville. Through his daughter-in-law, Ed donated all of his amateur radio equipment to TARC and suggested a club station be set up and put on the air. We are grateful to Ed for his most generous gift.
Bob W4TAT has agreed to manage the club's effort to proceed with the administrative requirements necessary to have the city of Titusville modify antenna/tower height restrictions to be in compliance with the FCC's mandate. As of now the Titusville antenna height restriction is identical to that of Brevard County prior to the modification of the same as Bob and others fought so hard to achieve. We certainly want to give Bob the support he needs to accomplish this very important code upgrade. We are having more and more of our club members requesting their email address be removed from the TARC reflector. The

biggest reason is that many of us do not want to receive email that is not related to our hobby namely ham radio. It will be appreciated that before sending email through the reflector, please consider whether your email is club related. I want to thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness.
Each year the TARC September club meeting is designated "POT-LUCK". This is when the ladies and gentlemen if so desires bring a covered dish to the meeting. If you have never been to one of our POT LUCK meetings and enjoyed the fellowship and the delicious food, boy are you in for a great treat. The ladies always decide among themselves what each will bring. Should you have any questions just call Stephanie, Pat, Sherry or yours truly and discuss what you would like to bring.
The club meeting is September 23rd. I hope to see you there. Bring a friend. Bud K4CWG
