time they see me in the drive-thru lane."
"Talk up Ham Radio." Let's banish the question, "Is that CB?"... or at least we can replace it with, "Is that CB or Ham radio?"
I'll be mailing the monthly news summary soon. I will also add a "PR Hints" area on the web at: http://www.arrl.org/sections/SFL.html.
Don't forget the NTS message to me and/or the SEC for Field Day bonus points. I will be operating from my home station during Field Day weekend and I can take your NTS messages directly. I will also be checking into several NTS nets. Also, If you hear my OM - David, W4DKB - on Field Day, pass the NTS message to him (He will even be operating CW and RTTY). 73, Sherri Brower, W4STB SM Southern Florida, ARRL PR Committee

will demonstrate and explain ham radio to anyone who is interested. There is a game that day.
Clara Abell KE4YQL suggested that we go as a group to one of the games at Space Coast Stadium. Email her if you are interested in going. The program portion of the meeting was used to discuss and plan field day which will be held at the same site as the last several years (off S. Barna). Look for more information about field day on the club web site.

scheduled launch. The LISATS may have COMM Two, out on the 528 Causeway, for a publicity effort during the event. Listen for them on 147.135.
COMM One will be at the TARC Field Day location, City of Titusville Well Field, on Barna Ave. Come out and cheer for John, KE4ZPA, as he works the event from the air conditioned and mosquito free environment this COMM Vehicle provides. There will be a handful of us who will put the County EOC on the air, Class F station, for the event, so listen for K4EOC, and give the operators a workout they won't soon forget. Ozzie, N4SCY, promises to get lots of public attention from the Field Day GOTA Station he is going to set up at the Space Coast Stadium on Saturday the 28th. So if you're going to the game, be sure to stop by and give Ozzie a hand.
Now that Hurricane Season has arrived, keep your batteries charged and your fly away kits ready. Ed, KG4KVO and I will be calling the shelter communications volunteers to confirm contact information. If you'd like to volunteer, please contact either of us so we can add your names to the list.
Don't forget the BEARS Nets on Wednesdays, at both 9 am and 7 pm, 147.135.
Again, thank you for your support to Emergency Communications in Brevard County.
